Purpose:
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), through its Empowerment Fund (JEF), provides bursaries to support academically excellent but financially disadvantaged South African students. The goal is to develop future leaders and promote transformation through education.
Fields of Study
Applicants must be studying full-time towards a degree in one of the following:

Mathematics

Actuarial Science

Information Technology

Informatics
-
Data Analytics
-
Economics
-
Finance
-
Accounting

Supporting Documents Required
Applicants must attach the following:

Certified copy of ID

Proof of registration
-
Official academic record
-
Proof of household income
-
Proof of residence
-
Affidavit confirming the accuracy of information provided
Eligibility Criteria
-
Must be a South African citizen (from a designated group).
-
Parental/caregiver combined annual income must not exceed R650,000.
-
Must be in 2nd year, 3rd year, or Honor’s level of study.

Must have achieved a minimum 70% average.
