About Trees for the Future (TREES)

Trees for the Future (TREES) is a nonprofit organization that empowers farmers to restore their land and build better lives through agroforestry. For over 30 years, we have supported thousands of farming families to grow diverse crops, plant trees, and build sustainable food systems.

We use our Forest Garden Approach, a proven method that helps farmers improve their land while tackling climate change, hunger, and poverty. We are active in Kenya, Mali, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda, and we’ve planted over 350 million trees to date.

In Tanzania, we work with over 8,000 farmers across the Singida , Tabora, Mwanza, and Simiyu regions. With the help of 63 dedicated staff, we plan to plant over 8 million trees this year.
