Accountant Jobs and Internship Opportunities at the Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF)
The Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF), established in Tanzania on 4th March 2008 under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP.318 R.E. 2002), is inviting applications from motivated, young, and dynamic Tanzanians to join their team. The Fund was formed as a successor to the Cotton Development Fund (CDF) under the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed by industry stakeholders in April 2006.
CDTF is currently offering contract and internship opportunities for accountants at their Mwanza office.
Available Positions

Accountant (1 position – Six Months Contract)

Accountant Internship (3 positions)
Duty Station: Mwanza
Education Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in any of the following:

Accounting
-
Finance
-
Commerce
-
Business Administration (with a focus on accounting or finance)
-
Or any equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct interdepartmental and periodic cash audits.
-
Perform regular and surprise audits of departments and units.
-
Review financial accounts and supporting documents for accuracy.
-
Assess existing internal control systems and recommend improvements.
-
Undertake any other finance-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to handle complex data and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Internship-Specific Requirements

No prior work experience in the field of study.

Graduated within the last three years.

Age between 18 and 35 years.
