About the Role:
As a Billing Assistant Intern at Via service Tanzania, you will be exposed to the core financial and billing processes that keep the business running smoothly. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure that billing operations are accurate, timely, and aligned with client expectations. This internship will provide you with a strong foundation in real-world finance practices, offering insights that go beyond what you learn in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue proforma invoices to clients, ensuring all details are correct and delivered on time.

Assist with invoice reconciliation, checking for accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Verify demurrage and discharge dates for container logistics, ensuring that all charges are correctly applied.

Maintain and update pricing trackers, including both bulk and special pricing, to support smooth operations.

Support the team in responding to client billing inquiries, providing professional and timely assistance.
Qualifications:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with basic accounting principles.
